Power steering fluid cap s/b semi-gloss black
And now it is!
Removing the spinner caps on passenger side
Notice: Red/White/Blue in counter clockwise order. S/B clockwise...
Correct cap placed in spinner. Shipped the old one's back to Mike Z.
The top "caps" s/b the exterior car color. Note "Thumper" has them dark blue (interior color).
Also, the 2 screws s/b Trophy Blue as well
Painted 'em
Top caps painted. Check.
Top cap done, now we moved below (see steel striker plate?) - It needs a hint of Trophy Blue overspray.
Covered everything
Shot a little overspray
Rear fuel line. Hard to see, but we noticed the fuel line hose is cracking! Gotta replace it.
See cracks near hose clamp?
More cracks near this clamp too.
Another judging sheet ToDo. The bottom washers were upside down, and the rubber was upside down.
Corrected both sides.
Reinstalling rear suspension
Horns were missing star washers...and then we noticed the bolts were wrong too. Gotta order those.
Passenger horn date code
Note small amount of overspray on striker plate.
Up on the rack today - started some undercarriage work.
Had to removed the D.O.T. stampings from the brake lines
The undercarriage was surprisingly greasy. Got it all cleaned up and reviewed the judging guide for some more doable ToDo's before Vegas.
No more D.O.T.
I'd never noticed it has "POWERGLIDE" stamped on the tranny
It just got too dam hot today. Jerry & I quit early on Saturday and hopped in the pool!
